What we collect

When you create an account, team, or tournament on KickPunch, we store your email address, display name, and password (hashed — we never store your password in plain text). When you add a Riot ID to your profile or team roster, we store your in-game name, tag line, and Riot PUUID.

Riot Games data

KickPunch uses the Riot Games API to resolve Riot IDs to account identifiers (PUUID) and to read match results for tournament verification. To verify match outcomes, we query recent match history for the players on each roster and cross-reference that data against the team rosters registered in KickPunch. When tournament lobby codes are used, we additionally receive and store per-match results via a Riot-provided callback.

We store a curated subset of match data (champion, KDA, CS, and damage) for players who participated in a tournament game. We do not access chat logs, friend lists, purchase history, or any data outside of tournament play.

KickPunch is an independent tournament platform not affiliated with or endorsed by the publishers of any games hosted on this site. All game titles and related marks are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective owners.

How we use this data

We use account and roster data to run tournaments: matching registered teams into brackets, generating lobby codes, and automatically verifying match results against the rosters on file. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties outside of what is required to operate the tournament (e.g. Riot Games, for match verification).

When you verify an in-game name, we read frames from your own live stream until we see your one-time code, and keep the frame that proved it as a record (shown only to you and our admins).

Payments

Entry fees and prize payouts, where enabled, are handled directly by the tournament organizer rather than through an online payment processor. We do not collect or store card details on this site.
